Hello to all,
I have recently installed an Option 11. I am having a problem with the trunks staying busy after phone calls ending. I have messed around with all the different types of disconnect supervisions with no luck. The CO trunks comming in are LOOP Start. Does anyone know or can tell me where to find the minimum voltage and current that my switch is looking for. I am pretty sure that the telco trucks are good. Any suggestions? Thanks alot.

Why did you installed loop start trunks always go with ground start and you will not have any problems like you are having now.

the problem is not the voltages it that u have loop start trunk u need to have them changed to ground start and your problem will stop.

will someone help me understand when LOOP start trunks SHOULD be ordered? it seems we are always being told to order GROUND so for my own edification when would I order LOOP? thank you.

I replaced a Mitel SX50 and those were the trunks that were already in use. I installed an option11 around a 1 1/2 years ago with loop start trunks and havent had any problems with it. Is this LOOP start problem something on the new Meridan software rleases? Thanks

Johnny I’m not trying to be rude but you are able to install opt11 that tells me that you know your stuff and now you asking about loop start trunks? Come on!

Well, if you have any adivce about the problem please continue to comment. If not please dont bother. Yes I did install the option 11s and yes as far as the Nortel books are concerned Loop start trunks are OK. I did not ask about Loop start trunks, asked about Nortel software releases.

Hi You may get away with changing the timers in the RDB. You will have to play around with them.
