Hello. I have configured a VOIP trunk connection over frame relay. I am having a problem with the trunk connection dropping every few minutes. Also it seems that they will not connect unless I use VAD. I would prefer not to use VAD as I only will have about 10 calls at once and I am getting allot of clipped speech in the beginning of calls and after brief moments of silence. or is this another issue
Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Will

Hi Will,

Have you created class maps and policy maps? When using frame for VOIP it is best to configure a sub interface using ppp. Then create a virtual template interface with the ip address. Do not bind ip addresses to the frame or sub frame interface. If you give me your email address I can mail you a working config.

Cheers

Phil.
