Through the menu on the HP ProCurve Switch I was able to set an ip address for the default vlan as well as a second vlan I named vlan2. I untagged all the port that are not associated with vlan2.

Like this:

Default_VLAN VLAN2
Port 1 Untagged NO
Port 2 Untagged No
From Port 1-11 are all on default_vlan

Port 11 No Untagged
Frome Port 11-22 are all on VLAN2

I set the trunking on port 1 which is where the 2600 router is plugged into.

It still won't route.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Do you have the correct ios version. I believe you need IP Plus in order to do trunking. You definitely can't do trunking with just the IP version of IOS.

Good luck,

Jim

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why are you trunking to a router? A 2600 router can't route enough packets per second to fill 1 100Mb line, let alone several.

From the way you have worded this, it seems you want the router to route between the 2 VLANs. What are you trying to accomplish?
