Does anyone see an issue with taking 10 members from one trunk group and creating a new trunk group that would allow some restrictions imposed on the first one?

We run our site with ANI restricted so the called number sees 'blocked' or 'unknown'. we need that.

But we also need to change our E911 method to satisfy the state. So i was thinking of carving out 10 ports of a PRI, assign them to a new trunk group, and format the group as public and add the stations to the public table, then adjust ARS settings to push 911's and only 911's through the new TR Group.

Any ideas or concerns?

The only concern I can think of would be your search order. Since the carrier controls the search order of calls coming in I would make sure that you carve out the opposite end of the search order to make sure that all of your trunks are not full with incoming calls when someone goes to dial 911.
