I have a client with a Magix that has 4 LS trunks, Reliable Disconnect enabled, Pool 70, and 4 E&M TIE trunks, Pool 8. They want to transfer an inbound call from pool 70 to pool 8.

I have enabled Trunk to Trunk Transfer for a couple of test extensions, but no luck, the call will ring back to the transferring extension showing invalid transfer on the display. I tried adding the lines from pool 8 to one of the phones, thinking direct trunk select would work, no luck. FRL on all phones are 3.

Also, Pool 8 is not in the ARS tables....should it be for this to work?

Thanks

Try giving the phone Pool Dial Out Code access to pool 8, and then see if they can transfer, 8 + the number, and probably # before hanging up.

I forgot to mention that she can call out on pool 8 just fine, just not transfer to it. Maybe try dialing the # at the end?

May I ask what pool 8 is used for? Merlin to C.O, Merlin to another switch?

Pool 8 is comprised of 4 E&M trunks going to a Cisco router, then routed based upon the digits dialed to any particular Legend/Magix/Definity within the network.

My thought was maybe the preceeding 8 was being passed to the router, so created direct trunk select buttons on her phone. I have her press transfer, then one of the trunks in Pool 8, then enter the 4 digits to transfer to. I have also tried transfer, then 8, then the digits.

The # worked! Never used that in the past, wouldn't have thought of it. This is why this site is so great.

Thanks for all your help.

It would also help if you read the Network Reference, and/or the Feature Reference documents. This type of stuff is covered there.
