Has anybody seen an issue with a "vanilla" T1 when doing trunk to trunk transfers? We have calls coming in on one channel and going out another channel on the same span. Calls complete successfully but even though supervision is turned on, both channels stay tacked up and do not get torn down when the call is terminated. Any suggestions?

Look at the Route's NEDC and FEDC. Try setting them both to "ETH"

I should have mentioned that I already checked that. When I started troubleshooting I found that FEDC was set to ORG so changed it to ETH. NEDC was already ETH. It had no impact on the problem. Thanks!

You did not say what kind of trunks you have

You might try it with Supervision=No just to see if that does anything. Otherwise, print out these and we'll all give it the once over:

Ahhh, I see they a Loop Start. As far as I know, you will always have this problem unless you have Telco change them to Ground Start

One "work around" is setting the "TFD" Timer to say 15 or 30 minutes, up to 60 minutes max. This will mean *no* calls will be able to last longer than that time value though. The upside is, it will release trunks locked together.
