I've got Trunk group 2, which is multiple PRI to the LEC. CID works great in both directions. I've got trunk group 4, which is a TIE line PRI to my VoIP device (not avaya) which is able to send caller-id to the definity and have it show up correctly when internal calls are made from the VoIP system, across trunk group 4 to the definity. When calls are made outbound from the VoIP system, which goes across trunk group 4, then routed out trunk group 2, I get the default CID for the whole LEC trunk.

I twinkled every option referring to CID trying to get this to work. The only hint of a problem I see is that the isdn public-numbering is confusing on what is does with operlapping digits. For instance..
My extension (voip) is 14878. My DID and CID should be 123-555-7878. So, I use:
ext len 5
ext code 14
trk grp (blank, seems to not make a diff, tg2 is blank also)
CPN prefix 1235557
CPN len 10
So I assume 1235557+878 which is the last three of my DID, completes the 10 digits... I even tried this with a 4 digit extension, replacing all 10 digits, and still got the same result.

Any hints???

Hmm.. No replies. Has anyone seen a way to troubleshoot something like this? I see the CID go out the trunk to the Definity, but when the Definity routes the call, the CID is being removed.

Just for grins try the command change isdn pub

You get a screen sample below

ISDN NUMBERING - PUBLIC/UNKNOWN FORMAT
Total Total
Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

5 85910 201418 10

The above sample will pass the extension number (5910) as the last four digits to the lec for CID (2014185910). This will only alow the extension 85910 do this magic. every other extension passes the Main number. If I changed 85910 to just 8 all extensions will pass extension to cid.

1a2 to ip I seen it all
