Hello. I have a quick question about trunk ports. We have three switches using trunk ports to connect them. One switch is the "main" switch connecting to the other two via trunk ports (looks like a V shape). We have to physically move one switch (not the main switch) to another location in the office. My question is:
1. When we power down the switch that we are going to move, will the other two switches cease forwarding traffic while and listen to network architecture changes?
2. If so, is there a way to force the two other switches to keep forwarding traffic? Thanks.

The other two switches will keep working amongst themselves. Assuming you have spanning tree running (the default), then it will do a short reconfig when you disconnect and connect, but it should not interrupt traffic, unless it is very heavy.

No the other 2 will continue to forward traffic as previously stated.

Make sure the switch being moved is NOT in server mode!
