Hello,

I have a main site and two satellite locations; one of which just moved. The satellite location has a G450 and I am using Site Admin 6.0.

The trunk at the satellite location is trunk 31. I have a main number, provided by the local phone service in the area, for the satellite coming in and it is supposed to route to extension 480. When I dial the outside ten digit number that the phone company gave us from my cell phone it routes to extension 466. I have tried changing the forward extension in the (change trunk-group 31) to another number at the satellite and to my extension at the main campus to no avail, it still rings 466. When I do a trace route on the extensions everything looks fine. The only thing I can find different comparing all three trunks for the different locations is the CID. Is there some routing table or something I am missing?

Thanks for any and all help you can give.

Is this a pots line or isdn. My understanding is pots will use the extension in the trunk but isdn uses the incoming trunk handling command to match the incoming number and convert it to the extension.

Try a trace on the trunk tac code. Li trace tac nnnn

I think it is a pots line but I am not positive. It is whatever the telephone company installed. Is there a way to tell? It is going to a 4600 series Voip phone. I will try this list trace option first thing in the morning. Is there something specific I am looking for in it?

Also, in my first post I said CID. I meant TAC code is the only thing different with my different trunks.

Incoming routing is completely different based on the type of trunk. CO/POTS trunks go to the extension you have programmed as the "Incoming Destination" on the first page of the trunk group form. T1/ISDN etc... use the digits the provider sends over the trunk to determine where the call goes. Normally if you have 3 digit extensions they send the last 3 digits of the phone number, if you have 4 digit extensions they send the last 4 digits, etc... Does the phone number that you are dialing end with 466?
