Hi all.

I am in the midst of trying to program a Merlin Magix system del. 4 and have a few questions (I am a little rusty at this)

Here is what I have:
2 incoming hunt groups
Group 1 has 6 lines and will be connected to 801,802,803,805,806,807
Group 2 has 2 lines and will be connected to 809,810

How do I set these up so that they show up inbound on 2 different phones(we are in pbx mode)
Group 1 will goto the operator/auto attendant 1

Group2 will goto ext. 7142/auto attendant 2

Thie is only for inbound calls, for outbound calls all phones will share a pool, I have 4 lines that I want to use with priority 802,803,806,807 as they have unlimited calling capabilities, and then overflow to any other open line.

Its been 2 decades since I did this kind of programming any help/suggestions you can provide will be greatly appreciated, I am doing this phone install for my church gratis because we have no money and out present system is ding a slow death.

Thanks,
Peter

Any thoughts on this? I don't need the steps to program, that part I can figure out. I just need help in how to organize the date.

To recap:

I have a main number that comes in on a 6 line hunt group for the church, I have a secondary 2 line hunt group that comes in for our nursery school. Looking for advise on what to do. The main hunt group needs an auto attendant for when the operator is absent or on DND.

The secondary hunt group will need the same.

Thanks,
Peter

Put 802, 803, 806, and 807 into pool 70. Put 801 into pool 890, and 809/810 into pool 891. Set your ARS routes to use 70, 890, and then 891.

The Operator extension gets Lines 801,802,803,805,806,807 assigned to buttons. If I understand you correctly, the auto attendant will be used as a backup to live answering, so assign Pools 70 and 890 to an unused calling group, and use time-based overflow to send it to voicemail, create a matching mailbox that points to the automated attendant.

If 7142 is not an Operator position, and you need individual line "appearances" for 809 and 810 on it, go back and remove line 810 from pool 891 and assign it to 892. Add 892 to your ARS. Assign pool 891 and 892 to Ext. 7142, and to a different unused calling group, again overflowing to voicemail and pointing to the 2nd auto attendant.
