I am working on a Definity G3i v4 and I have a board out on one of the LD trunks. When I did a test on the board I get an error code 1004 or Fail on test 136 and error code 1006 on test 36. I am currently on the phone with AT&T and Avaya will be my next call.... BUT I cant find these codes...

HELP.. anyone know where I can go to get them

Hi!

it is a TN767 DS1 interface

I called Avaya and they said not there problem and wouldn't tell me what the errors where... I have tested with AT&T after hours tonight
thanks

My maintenance book doesn't list tests 136 or 36. Test 1004 usually means a call came in while the test was trying to run and the test aborted. I would try reseating the card, then swapping it with another card if possible.

If I remember correctly test 136 is for connectivity/signal from the carrier. You may have an outage due to a hard or soft loop on the circuit. I would ask AT&T to see if they can see a loop in the circuit and also verify connectivity from the NIU back to the PBX. I Could be wrong on this one.....

Test 136 abort 1004- Trunk is being seized by the far end during the test;
Test 36 abort 1006- Trunk is out of service; status the trunk to determine the state of the trunks.
This trunk group is apparently an E&M tie trunk. Based 1) on the test numbers, and 2) the fact that you state it is L/D trunk. Basically the trunks on this board are in lockout for some reason.
For more info check your maintenance manual under "maintenance objects" "tie-DS1

Thank you all... I will con't to keep you informed... AT&T had trouble with there equipment so they backed out of the test this morning and reschedule for the tomorrow morning.

I did reseed the card yesterday... the trunk came back up but was not stable... and went back down.
