Hi Again Guys,

I have an Option 81 with 2616 phones. The operators use Meridian consols.
we have an operator that is getting disturbing calls from the outside.

she says the display shows
4669-8-8859-1004 corp 800 fax

does this make sence to anybody.

is any of that mess an acod? ld 21 prt rdb, let them all print and do a search for acod.. looks like a country code. but doesn't match my search.. also look for a named fax that has fba in class... allows forward to operator

I did as you said and yes it came up with Route 15,

I am guessing the call came in on a ATT pri ?

We dont have a 8859 in our system. Thats what i am trying to figure out. 8859?


We do own the 8000 range but I dont have that number programed in the switch.

So as of right now, I am guessing this call is from outside the company correct ?

Yes when no DN is programmed in the switch it will intercept to the Attendent. Look at what CTVN (Call To Vacant Number) is programmed. LD 21 prt INT.

you may have vacant number intercept (8859) routed to the att, that would explain the display, call 9 xxx 8859 to see if it's duplicates the call display.. it may not as that call came from the att route, and not the local
