Trunk Class of Service Feature: MID/MIA 1

Any idea on what MID/MIA does or does not do?

We have set up virtual trunks between signaling servers.
In the class of service of one of the trunks, MIA (Manual Incoming Allowed) was defined. And it would not pass the call through. Changed it to default MID (Denied), and the call goes through.

So it's working, but I've never dealt with this feature - any claim on what it would be good for?

I couldn't find anything on this in the NTP's...
But your explanation makes perfect sense - the calls that were not being passed through were going to the operator.

I just read another post debating Cisco and Nortel. I wonder if Cisco has a feature like this that would allow me to enable all calls on a trunk to go to the operator?...
