I have a MICS 0x32 with R1T1 software. We have about 20 sets that are setup with 2 intercoms, and access to line pools. Only the reception desk rings on incoming lines during the day.
When the receptionist steps away from her desk, incoming calls do not get answered and the Auto Attendant picks up. We are hoping to use a feature such as Trunk Answer to answer the calls. However in order to use Trunk Answer, the phone system has to be in a service mode. That would also be OK, however the reception phone's display constantly displays the name of the service mode, and does not allow her to see any other functions such as date/time/caller id/etc..
Is there a way to accomplish answering an incoming call from another set similiar to Trunk Answer? Call pickup does not work reliably, since it will pickup the first ringing phone, and this could be an extension calling another extension. Any tips would be appreciated!
