Hello all,
I'm a relative newbie to AS, and I'd appreciate any thoughts any of you might have on how to go about troubleshooting this problem
I've got a salesperson requesting access to one of our OLAP cubes while he's travelling. I thought, no problem, an offline OLAP cube will meet his needs.... unfortunately, nothing ever seems to be easy.
I had a quick play around, and successfully used Excel's but in Pivot Table wizard to access the sample cube (Foodmart). Then I used the Offline OPAP wizard to set up a local cube file. All is well so far.
I then attempted to go through the exact same process with one of our cubes. I got to the final step of creating the offline OLAP cube and I received the error message below...
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services: Data Source Provider Error.
It seems to be specfic to a particular cube, and its horribly general.
I am running:
Client:
Windows XP, Office 2K3
Server:
MS AS sp3a 8.00.382
Ideas anybody?
Thanks in advance!
Casey.
(BTW, I have also submitted this post in the Office forum as I was unsure where was most appropriate.)
