I have an update query that I am using to send the values of a current record on a form to a table, and I am using the expressions of [Forms]![MyForm]![txtName],etc.in the Update To: with my destination fields in the table specified...I then would like to run this from my active form...however, it is not performing the update as expected...it isn't updating the table at all. I as missing something really obvious here!

I have tried both with and without criteria...with criteria being while its =[Forms]![MyForm]![txtField]...and am still not getting any data in my table. This is one of those glaringly simple things, I am sure, but I don't know what I am doing wrong....

When you run the query does it give you a number of records that it is going to update? Are your system messages turned on? If not, turn them on. If you are getting 0 records to be updated then, there is nothing in your table meeting your criteria.

I'm just kinda starting from scratch and stepping through. prodevmg@yahoo.com

May God bless you in the year 2002.

I don't want to intrude here, but it might help if you post the SQL of your query.

Thanks,
dz

Thanks for your help and suggestions, it just worked after I looked a little closer at my criteria, so again, thanks Lonnie and FoxProProgrammer for your time. This site is great!
