Hey guys. I'm running a G3csiR12 in my lab to get some hands on experience with the Avaya way of doing things. I got my hands on a 302B attendant console and 4-wire line card. I think there's something wrong with one of the two. When plugged into the 1151A1 power supply the console puts on some random lights and a cursor on the display and the self test button does not function. When I plug the cord from the PBX into the 1151A1 the console goes dark, and the self test function works and I can also adjust the various volume levels. (lights flashing in sequence, tone works) I have the handset that came with the unit plugged in and if I press dialpad buttons I hear tones, and the numbers come up on the screen, which is otherwise blank. The trouble is as far as the PBX is concerned, the console shows "disconnected". Does this sound like a problem with the console, or the line card?

from the port on the pbx connects to the lan/pbx port on the 1151a1 power supply, then from the phone port on the power supply plug into the 302Battd console, make sure you have the two prong handset adapter plugged into the 302b set, also make sure the phone is correctly programmed

Yeah, that's the way I have it hooked up. The only thing I'm not sure of is the 2-prong adapter I'm using. The handset is the correct carbon type, but the 2-prong adapter is not the original. Is it possible that it works enough to let me hear DTMF tones in the handset but not bring the console into service? Also, in the PBX the console shows up as "Disconnected" rather than "In-Service/HS-Disconnected".

Many Thanks,
Anthony

have you tested the 4 wire digital port on another digital to rule that piece out yet? have you tried to busy port/release port yet?also make sure you have the correct handset adapter as this will cause you problems

I have busyout and released the port, and moved the port. Even tried dialing the refresh terminal parameters FAC and putting in the DN I have assigned to the console. I have some cheap 7406 phones on the way so I'll be able to check out the line card and see if it's the problem. I'm hoping it's something like the line card, because at the going eBay rate a 302A/B/C is just too expensive for lab work.
