I am working on an issue with a PRI I have. I have and Adtran 550 between the Telco and my Nortel CS1000. I am going to be getting two new PRI's in the near future and they will be set to NI2. The current switch typ is dms100 for both PRI's. With the adtran 550 I can have one protocol coming in and a different going out, so I configured one of my PRI's with NI2 on the adtran 550 and on the cs1000. When the PRI came up I could place outgoing calls but I could not recieve. I thought the problem may be with the adtran and the Ni2 set up, so I programed the pri back to dms100 and I end up with the same results. I can place a call but can not recieve. I must have missed something when I built the PRI. Can anyone give me a direction to look in?

Is the RDB new, or did you just add members to an existing one? set for IAO on the route right?

Just to confirm .... Is the telco pointing DID numbers down the new circuit or at least a test number with DNIS digits that correspond to a phone number on your PBX?

We originally created a new rdb, and it didn't work. Then we re-built it as it was before with the existing RDB and are having problems with incoming calls.

On the other question. Yes the telco is pointing numbers down the PRI.

Do you have something for the LDN0 IN THE LDN_DATA

What are you getting on the Cusco when you try to place a call? Do you have D Channel messaging on in the CS1000? What do you get there? Do you have a phone built with the test DID number?

Thanks,

Buddy

He must have called out and now can't call back in....lol

Checked all you said and it was set up correct. Found out that everything was fine. The Adtran was the problem. Even though you disable the trunks in the Nortel, the Adtran didn't see that they weren't available and tried sending calls down it anyway. We disabled the trunks to get the calls to hunt to the other PRI, but the Adtran wasn't hunting because it thought the channels were good to use. So we just had to flood it with calls to test it and it worked fine.
