I am using a Par Everserv 2000 terminal for the first time and have difficulty getting a TM88III printer working.
I have a known good printer, connector and cable. I am using a serial connection, 9600 baud, Xon/Xoff, 8 databits with Even parity. I have a DB25 connector on the printer that converts to an RJ45. I am using a patch cord to plug into the DB25 converter and the PAR terminal. The Par comm ports use an RJ50 connector but as best I can tell an RJ45 will line up correctly for a serial connection.
I cannot get the terminal to print with my POS system. I tried installing the Epson advanced utilities and I cannot get it to work. I go into command mode and try to redirect a stream to Com1 adn get nothing (ie. dir > com3)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
