So I have a main hunt group (collective call waiting) which after 10 seconds rolls over to a second hunt group (also collective call waiting) which rolls over to a 3rd hunt group which contains my phantom user to forward to AA. When calling in on the test line the two hunt groups just loop and the 3rd overflow to the AA never happens. I changed the overflow to the main group to hit my phantom user AA group and that works fine. Can you not overflow more than once?

Overflow is badly named as it isn't what the system does. The first hunt group is expanded by adding the members of the second group - none of the other settings of the second group apply.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Overflow is only relevant on the first group. Is the third group in the overflow of the first group? Or the second? If it on the second move it to the first and it should work.

You have the 3rd group in the wrong place, it gets entered into the 1st groups overflow list right after the 2nd group, it doesn't go in the 2nd groups overflow list. The others kind of said this but in a roundabout fashion :)

Before you ask.... it's to make the system more flexible. Doing it this way every group can overflow to other groups in any order you like and ring them for different periods etc, having the system follow each groups overflow in turn would remove that flexibility and it's also more difficult to follow the call in more complex setups that way :)

Still it won't work even if you add the group with the dummy user to the first overflow group.
If the call has rang until the overflow timer expires then the call will ring the members of the first overflow group programmed if any phone is free and will stay ringing there until answered, the second programmed overflow group will only be used if all members of the first overflow group are unavailable ( busy, not in group etc.).
So the overflow timer is only used once and the group ring time out is not used at all as it is a collective group.

If the third group is set to sequential it works. We use it all the time with embedded systems.

budbyrd is right. Call FWD hunt group calls is not supported with collective or collective call waiting. Click Help on that page in manager and you'll see it.

Thanks, I did eventually figure it out that the 3rd group gets added to the 1st group overflow after group 2. That worked well however the customer nixed the idea while installing the system since the second group only added one person to the blast. Still good to know for future reference.
