I am trying to get a 4620SW phone to upgrade to the VPN firmware. I downloaded the VPNremote software from Avaya. Configured the files and placed them in the "\Avaya\IP Office\Manager" folder.
I added
---------------------------------
IF $GROUP SEQ 876 goto DEFVPN
goto NOVPN
# DEFVPN
GET 46xxvpn.scr
goto END
# NOVPN
---------------------------------
to the start of the "46xxupgrade.scr" file.

I set the group to 876 on the phone, but when I reboot the phone it just pulls the 46xxupgrade.scr file.

All of the file below are present

46vpnsettings.txt
46vpnupgrade.scr
46xxsettings.txt
46xxupgrade.scr
46xxvpn.scr
a10bVPN232_3.bin
a20bVPN232_3.bin
a25VPN252_3.bin

Not sure what is going on.

what are you using for a TFTP server?

What are you seeing in the TFTP server logs?

I am using the VM Pro system, Server 2003 Standard SP2. I have not installed anything diffrent then the Manager.

close Manager and install this TFTP server. make the outbound path your working direcory.

ftp://ftp.avaya.com/incoming/Up1cku9/tsoweb/iptel_avaya_tftp.exe

That worked, can that be set to run as a service?

Now I just tested the phone from outside our firewall (Cisco ASA) it looks like it is connecting fine but I am getting "Gatekeeper list is empty

you can make it run as a service, but i cant remember how. you could just put it in the start up folder. i think there is a Windows doc on how to make a program run as a service.

not sure on the gatekeeper issue
