Still lost on this Phaser 350 How do I go about trouble shooting the y axis 05,002,42:4270. I have cleaned the disk and sensors. Still no luck, How can I check further, Is there a way to check the board.

No way to check the board that I know of because I dont have specs on the ICs to be able to know what you should see on each pin. MY next step would be to use the pc based diags to test all the solenoids sensors motors etc. I may be able to get them to you.

Marty if you could get those Diag to me I sure would give them a try as I would like to make this low page count printer work again.

I had this problem on a 340, I replaced the disk and sensor unit and the board they attach to with no luck. It turned out to be the board, which controls the power to the actuator motors. This is the one, which sits behind the head but not the one attached to it. Says something to the affect of power control on it. Symptom of this failure is that the disk will not turn a full revolution during start up.

The board you refer to is indeed called the power control board. It is likely to cause the y axis problem due to the fact that all motor function and sensors all connect through the power control board. A failed power control board can show any number of symptoms.
