Trouble opening Element Manager

I am having trouble opening element manager on my PC. I have unistalled and reinstalled it several times. When I try to open EM it shows the purple EM screen, then that disappers and nothing happens after that. All of the other PC's work fine, just this 1 computer I'm having trouble with. The computer is used just in our demo room so customers can see how to program the system. There isn't any other software on the PC that can be interferring with it that I know of. Has anyone had this issue before.

Note: I think the problem started the same time we got a server in the office.

i have also tried Java 6 update 7. Still no luck

Anything else change before the problem started?
Have you tried uninstalling using Add/Remove programs and installing it fresh?
I've seen this once after installing a newer version of EM and selecting to "update" the current version.

i have a problem before with the element manager but not like this one. after reformatting a pc, the EM wont start up right. apparently there was a conflict with the version of java. i copied an EM from a working PC and pasted it in the PC where the EM error exist. that solved the problem
