ok when i edit a video and export it on my computer to a dv avi or mpeg or anything to watch it all i get it sound and black video...in one edit i can see the titles but the rest is just black and sound...even when i convert a dv clip to mpeg its just black video and sound...it didn't used to be like this, what is wrong?

See if there's a checkbox in your Export-to-Video settings. That checkbox would be labelled "Export Vidoe" and be next to one marked "Export Audio". It sounds as if the former is no longer checked.

i have the exact same problem. im my situation everything works fine in rendering, and preview. but when i export i just get audio - no video.

i'm having a similar problem in that when i export to mpeg, the file plays fine for about a third of its length and then the video freezes, but the audio carries on playing.

Well, see, there's a flag in your project settings: "Screw it up Mysteeeeeriously", but it's not labelled that way. You have to look at the project settings and the clip settings and work out the secret code.

There are many variations of project and clip settings that trigger the "Screw it up Mysteeeeeriously" setting.

You could post those settings here and maybe All Will Become Apparent.

If you download movies from the web, do you see the same effect (stops showing video after a while)?

If you send your movies to someone else's computer, can they see the same problem?

Cheers,
