Trouble connecting users to SPS 2003 (Eval Copy)

My plan is to demonstrate/evaluate SPS 2003 to my company but I am having trouble connecting users that I have added in "Manage Users". They seem to connect but they are constantly prompted to login (see attached pic). Any user that has NOT been added in "Manage Users" gets the usual SPS message "Error: Access Denied...etc...". If I add users to the Domain Admins group they seem not to have a problem but they have admin rights in the portal.

Is there any limit on how many people can connect to SPS when as an Eval copy?

Do I need to create a server Group?

I just realized that they are having trouble connecting to WSS sites as well.

Let them add the page to there trusted sites.. this allows for automatic windows autentication.
