hello,
I just received the first TN2181 2Wire Digital Line card for our Definity G3 PBX that I've had to use. I was trying to swap it out of a slot where there was a TN754B (4wire) digital line card after doing all the necessary wiring changes at the punchdown block, and when I put the new card in, the top Red light stayed on on it, then when I Listed Configuration All, the card under the Vintage colums said "conflict". I've never seen that error before.
In the past I've swapped out 16 port analog packs for 8 port digital packs and the Definity just figured out what I did and gave me no errors, so I expected it to go the same with this swap-out.
I then tried change circuit, went to the slot where the TN2181 was plugged in, it still said it was a TN754B, I tried to manually type in TN2181 and the error appeared
""TN2181" Must Remove translation on the board before changing circuit pack type". I've never run into this problem before. I looked around the Help screens and Googled the error some before writing this post and have had no luck figuring out how to remove translation. Could anyone help me with this so that I can get the TN2181 card successfully working.
Thanks in advance!
david

you need to remove all extensiosn assigned to that card. You must have one that you did not remove.

I guess u can try to check one more thing : display/change cabinet <cabinet number> to check which card the slot displays?
accordingly u can remove the card entey for the slot where u want to insert the new card...as mrjedi suggested u need to remove all the exnts configured on that card or instead make those extns "x" port
let me knwo....

all,
I've got the new 2-wire digital phone card and exp. board working. There was one extension still assigned to the old board, after I xxxx'd out that ext I was able to do the swap.
thank you all for your help!
david
