I don't know what I did, currently, back up veritas only allow me to back up locally, and it won't let me check on the remote selection. Can Someone please help me on how I can be able to select remote selection. Like I have my back veritas on my PDC, and I would like to back some of the files on my BDC, I use to be able to do that, now, I must have change something, it will only back up my local drives on the PDC, and not let me select anything else on other domain.
thanks
Kim

I think you need to have Remote Agent running on the BDC before you can do a remote selection of another server, if you check I think you will find that you can select workstations okay but not the servers.

Could be wrong mind you.

From what I can gather you were able to backup files from the BDC before? if so have you changed the backup job since it stopped, if not check the job logs and see if it says anything regarding not finding the remote agent. Check the services on the BDC to see if the remote agent is running.

jdeane is correct. If you do not have the Remote Agent running on the machine that you are browsing from, then all of your selections will be "gray". Please add the remote agent license to correct this issue.
