Get AVG to quarantine it, update AVG and run a full scan.

Hi John, Avg is gets updated automatically. I did scan the system and it detected the virus but didn't delete it. should i update to the paid version?

If the free version picks it up, why bother unless you want to pay for the full version for their support services?

John

thanks for the help. i have downloaded the trial version for 30 days and i'll see if that deleted the file. thanks again. virus does scare people

If it cannot remove it, go to Trend Micro's Housecall and try that program.

Check smah's faq for any number of online scanners including Housecall.

Check faq608-4650 for refs to a couple of trojan remover programs as well.
