I have an option 11c that is having Universal Trunk Card issues. The errors I am seeing is a "TRK0151 Seizure failure" and the other is a "TRK0156 Trunk release failure on outgoing CO trunk. Disconnect Supervision Timer (DSI) was exceeded." Any ideas on what could be causing these? Option 11 is a release 3, Univeral Trunk card is located in an expansion cabinet on card 16.

TRK00151 is a seizure error the error is followed by the equipment Number. I would check that equipment no. for dialtone if there is no dialtone then it is a bad line comming from the co. usually when there ia a bad co line you would see a lot of these errors because any time someone would dialout on that line you will see this error.

As far as the trk0156 error is concerned this is a failure to get disconnect supevision from the co within a certain time period usually about 30 sec if this dont happen you will get this error code than the switch will take the next step and diconnect the call on a large switch you see this error often it all depends where the the far end is located.

well here is the deal on that. The trunk card is set up to allow the internal users on the campus to access our intercom machine that is also located on that campus. It is also set for 911 dialing so a 911 cal would be located to the campus facility and not where our option 81 resides. All in all I believe that there are three ports set up on the trunk card, all of which are loop start, Two ports designated for the intercom and one port designated for the 911 outbound. I checked both the 911 and the intercom lines and they are good. could it be a bad trunk card? Or would an error like this appear if to many users are trying to use the access code for the intercom?

If all lines are buzy and you called in you should receive a fast buzy signal sounds like you may have more than 2 trk ports programmed in that trk group where if 2 calls are going out and than a third call is being made you would get dead air and you also would see the trk0151 error since there is no termination on that third port to check that out go into ld 22 and see how many ports are programmed in that group.
