Hello all,

Could someone please helpme, im really struggling with this!

I need to find a free tri-fold brochure template for Pagemaker 6.5 and i can find one anywhere.

Would it be possible for someone to either point me in the right direction, or possible spare 5 minutes to make me one and send me it.

I relaise your all busy but any help or advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated

Cheers

I could make you one if you send me the dimensions you want it in.

Oh man, there is a god after all lol

Thats nice of you man, cheers!

I just want it to print out on A4 size paper (landscape obvioulsy), each columb the same size but as big as you can get it if your ptinting onto a4 sized paper with a standard HP Photosmart printer.

Thanks again

If you are using A4 size paper (210 x 297 mm), you need to set up your Pagemaker document in landscape orientation and divide it into three columns. The columns should not all be of equal width however, as the first flap (hidden when the brochure is completely folded) needs to be slightly smaller, to allow for the thickness of the fold. This panel will be on the RHS of the sheet on one side, and LHS side of the reverse side.

So, the three columns will need to be 100mmm, 100mm and 97mm on the side which will contain the inner three panels, and for the reverse side which will have the front and back flaps, the columns need to be 97mm, 100mm and 100mm.

Make your margins for each panel whatever your printer can handle comfortably (5-10mm?) and there you have it.

PM comes with templates for the unimaginative.... tri-fold brochures and all..
window> plug in palettes> show scripts and scroll down the installed scripts window to template... select what you want.. it not only has the guidelines drawn in, but graphic elements placed... all you have to do is fill in the blanks... When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

Thanks Everyone, especially to GRillhouse who kindly made me one and sent it by E-Mail..thankyou :)

viol8ion - Yes i agree with you, it is unimaginative, but thats exactly what my client asked for and therefore thats what they will get.

But thanks for the tip about the templates anyway, at least that part of your post was constructive lol :)

Later

I tried using the Window>plug-in>scripts command but i get an error message saying "Cannot complete requested command, invalid argument" Script not completed.

I think its to do with the fonts since the error box has the mesage "font - helvetica" at the top.

If thats the case do i need to get "helvetica " on my system?
Anyone send me Helvetica please? for the PC not MAC?

Any ideas anyone

You'll have to excuse my rudeness, I amuse myself by being a smart-@ss sometimes! :~p When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
