Hello, Does anyone know what Exchange or other files / folders to exclude from a scan using Trend micro Scanmail??
Thank you in advance

\exchsrvr on any and all of the drives;
\tmp or \temp on any or all drives.

Why are you running a file-based anti-virus on an Exchange server? Run an exchange-aware anti-virus on it, if you must.

Hi Thanks for prompt reply
I am using Windows 2000 server with exchange 5.5 on the same server and using Scanmail for exchange and Trend Office scan for servers on the same machine. Is this set up ok??
thanks

I have no experience of running multiple anti-virus products on the same server. Just so long as you make sure that each doesn't interfear with the other, you should be okay.

Multiple antivirus packages, just like multiple anti-spyware packages, can trip up over each others files, so beware.

I am using scanmail for exchange 5.5 on 4 servers and also running Trend Officescan on all 4 servers. I've excluded the data directory and have never had an issue running these together.
