treeview problem: dotted square around expand/collapse button

I use the asp:treeview to build a site menu.
When I click expand [+] or collapse [-] button, the small dotted square will show around [+] or [-] which is just clicked.

I wonder how to remove these squares.

I believe what you are referring to is a feature of browser. The dotted square is a visual indication of which control currently has focus.

I'm not aware of a way to disable that. And if there is I would assume it's a feature of browser, not the webpage.
