Does anyone know of a way (within macro/CognosScript) to trap the error generated when a report is opened and it's source catalog is open elsewhere.
I ask becasue I have a report scheduler kicking out reports hourly. Each report is connected to it's own catalog, however, occassionally someone will link or open such catalogs, causing the scheduled reports to hang with the message box "Catalog already opened....".
I know restricting access to the catalog should be in place, but as a belt and braces approach, I'd like to have my macros cease what they're doing and move onto the next job in the scheduled queue.
Is this possible, and if so could any kind soul offer some pointers.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Phil
