Hello, i am having problems understanding how to convert some data in excel.

my data currently looks like..

1,a,b,c,d
2,e,f
3,g,h,i,j,k,l
4,a,c,f,g,h

i would like to convert it so it looks like..

1,a
1,b
1,c
1,d
2,e
2,f
3,g
etc..

would anyone be kind enough to help me out?

thankyou

Hello, there 500 rows and there are max 15 cols of data at the moment, but the spreadsheet could change next month and have more cols of data.

thankyou

and are you saying that 1,a,b,c,d is all in one cell?

and are you saying that you want the result, 1,a in one cell?

Hello, the data is currently in multiple cells but i can easily convert to 2 cells id required..

would like 1 in the first cell and the data in the next, this would then be the same for each row?

is this info ok?

thanks

ap

So there are or are not COMMAS in your data?

Your examples are not clear!
