Hi Guys
Bit of a weird one here... Hope I can explain this...
Got two users both with 1608 ip phones hanging off an IP500v2. John is on extension 705 and Jane is on extension 715. These two users swapped offices and they took their phones with them. (Didn’t want to share germs) Anyway, they connect up their phones and John finds himself on extension 715 and Jane is now on extension 705....? The local system admin guy did the shift for them and I suspected he must have done something funny with the setup. (Not that he needed to change anything being ip phones and all) Stuffed if I can see anything though. Have tried logging both users out and logging back in all to no avail. Cannot see anything different in IP Office regarding those two extensions as opposed to all the other extensions. (About 30 users)
If you log Jane off say and then log her back in on her correct extension 715 it happily accepts the logon and you see extension 715 displayed on the phone as it progresses through it’s logon sequence. Then at the final stage it switches to extension 705...? The only way I can get Jane’s correct extension to logon as extension 715...? At the final logon stage it switches to the desired extension 705...? Weird or what.
I can log Jane or John on to a completely different spare extension, say 720 without any issues. It’s just got it’s knickers in a twist over their two extensions...? It’s not a problem really, the user is working fine now but I would like to know why this is occurring. It’s like the phone extensions 705 and 715 are locked in somehow...? (It’s probably something really simple too – DOH)
The IP Office is running v6.0(18)
Cheers
Mike
