I'm sure this is just the first of many a question posed to the masters...I created a button in Fireworks with a transparent canvas. I tried to place it as a library item onto a second layer in Dreamweaver. The canvas of the image, however, shows up white. I made the layer transparent as well and the image canvas still covers some of an image I have on a the base page. What can I do?

Maybe, if your image is simple enougth, you could convert it to a .gif with a transparent background.

You're speaking about layer so I think you're using Netscape? I don't know if it applies on layers, but I use it with divs with IE : there is a property named allowtransparency, it's a boolean.

Sorry for my english. :~/
I hope it helps you...
