Transparent Gif

Hi all,
I am trying to make a transparent gif for a company's logo and the text on the gif looks really jagged. Is there a trick to make this look presentable on the web? It looks fine in Fireworks, but when I export it to a gif it gets a little sketchy!

With GIFs, there are only 2 level of transparency - i.e. totally transparent or not at all. You can't have 25% opacity like you can within Fireworks.

For this reason the edges sometimes look ragged.

The solution is to make sure that the "Matte" setting in the optimize panel contains the colour (or something close) to the background of your website.
