I am using Paint Shop Pro 7 eval.

I tried to make the background of my image transparent with the magic wand and it seemed to work. So I saved it in the GIF format. But when I display it on a web page the background still shows up as white.

WHY ???

Hi,
I haven't tested PSP 7, but in PSP 5, you can select the eyedropper and RIGHT click on the background color you want to be transparent. Then go into the color menu on the toolbar, and in the sub-menu click on "Set the transparency value". You then just need to "Set the transparency value to the background color" and save your image as Gif 89a format.
Hope this helps.
