Hey guys,
I'm trying to create a GIF with a transparent background in PS6. When i go to the File>Save as Web option the transparency checkbox is always greyed out. Can anyone help me with this.
Thanks so much

Mike

It's probably because you have saved your PSD image as a GIF and are sending that image to Save as Web option. Try using your original PSD image. The transparency checkbox should then be available to you.

Cyberboy,

I checked and the file is in the PSD format when i try to use the Save as Web option. The transparency checkbox is still greyed out. Any more suggestions?

Mike

make sure that your psd file is not flattened. Open your source file (psd) make sure the image layer is selected and go to file>export transparent image. and follow the instructions.

You will get whatever you were looking for
