How do I translate the timestamp on our 2501 router: Example:

15w3d: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Serial0, changed state to
down
15w3d: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Serial0, changed state to down
15w3d: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Serial0, changed state to up
15w3d: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Serial0, changed state to
up
15w3d: %AT-6-CONFIGOK: Serial0: AppleTalk interface enabled; verified by 1.20

Is there anyway to tell what this timestamp means 15w3d?

Hello Bud,

The timestamp you currently have is show when the router booted I bleieve (sho ver will confirm).

a much better way to resolve the problem permananatly is to ..
config t
logging buffered 4096
service timestamps datetime local.

The syntax might be off a bit, but generally this will change the log to use the current time instead of when the router booted. Make sure your clock is set
clock set ? Will give you the syntax.

Thank you. I tried the 'service timestamps local' but local was not an option only debug, log, and ,<cr>?
