Starting the prep work to transition to a 6 digit dial plan. We will be inserting the leading digit 8x in front of the current 4-digit extensions.

At the moment, the dial plan analysis shows 8 as a four digit ext. I need to change this to a length of 6 digits. After making the changes below, the SAT returns “ This entry has assignment; remove objects with these leading digits“

• Removed/renumbered the extensions that are in the format 8xxx
• Removed/renumbered the VDN that are in the format 8xxx
• Removed/renumbered the hunt group numbers that are in the format 8xxx
• There are no TAC/DAC in the format 8xx
• AAR has no entry for 8
• There is not an entry in UDP for this string.

Anyplace else where I should look?

Edit: Added wrong lenth, changed to 6 digits

SWITCHDOG,

Its sounds like you are moving from a 4 to 6 digit dial plan. If so this requires a complete rebuild of your software translations as this impacts extension length, FAC, DAC, ARS, AAR, trunking, etc..

iggy1952,
Understand that - The problem is freeing up the leading digit 8 to do so. I'm obviously missing one of the above locations.

The amount that the BP wants to do this warrants a solid evaluation if it can be done in house.

List Extension" should show the offender and tell you where to look (will show the 8xxx number and what it's used for). There are a lot of places it could be hiding. "Disp sys feat" could be one place.

Maybe I'm asking the question the wrong way (would not be the first time)
I am moving to a 6 digit dialplan.

[ul]
[li]The leading digit of the new dialplan is 8 (8xxxxx)[/li]
[li]There are no extensions in the current dialplan beginning with 8xxx[/li]
[li]There are no VDN beginning with 8 (8xxx)[/li]
[li]There is nothing in change pub ext-digits 8xxx[/li]
[li]No TAC or DAC beginning with 8[/li]
[li]No loudspeaker paging codes beginning with 8[/li]
[li]Exported the vectors looking for stations listed there with 8xxx[/li]
[/ul]

When I try to delete the existing entry in the dialplan form (8xxx, lenth 4, type=ext, I still get the This entry has assignment; "remove objects with these leading digits"

Where else should I be looking?

List extension should show you what is using and 8xxx number. This is not the same as a list station, which only shows you stations.
