Transforxml with xslt

Hi!
Why convert from xml to html.
Why not just write in html.
As I am advancing in xml i will discover this for myself.
But until i get there i would like to have your opinion.

I can see the purpose of the xsl stylesheet.

This link is the xsl file that is used to transform the xml file above:

This link show the xml file that has the transform declaration within it (<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="simple.xsl" ?>) - use view-source to see this, it shows the mark up once the xml file has been transformed by the xsl file:

Go to the source of html.
I do not see how these pages link to xsl file.
