Hi there.

re: Access 97 question

I'm trying export the results of a select query using a macro. The first step in the macro is an action query. The second, which is not functioning 100% is the TransferSpreadsheet action. Based on the help files, I am under the impression that I can export data from Select queries to Spreadsheets. The puzzling thing is that it seems to be exporting only the field headings but not the
actual query results/dynaset. Shouldn't the select query name be specified in the Table Name action argument box?? If so, I've done this already without success. Does the TransferSpreadsheet Action also work if the underlying query is the Find Umatched query?

I'm almost at my wits end!! Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Maggie

Yes, you can use the name of a Select Query in place of the Table name on a TransferSpreadsheet action. It works just fine. Are you sure that your Select Query is actually returning records and not an empty recordset? Try running the Select Query by itself in the Database window to see if the result set is what you expect.

Hi, it works fine for me. Run your query in the database window or put this line of code after open the Recordset.

MsgBox"Query Results: " & YourQuery.RecordCount

See if the result of the query is (0) zero. Best Regards
