I have 37 users and 20 PC's. Every user will need Outlook available for use on any of these machines. However, I do not relish the task of sitting down at each machine and setting each one up (and they cant be trusted to do it themselves). Is it possible to copy users settings from one PC to the next and if so where is that data stored?
I cant leave their mail on the Exchange server mailbox as we are part of a much bigger domain and there is a tiny limit on mailbox sizes - over which we have no control.

Well you can't transfer profile information if that is what you are wanting to do since all that is kept in the registry.

If you want to transfer items like customization to the toolbars then that is kept in the outcmd.dat file for the user genreally under the clients profile folder.

Thanks for your response mate. Do you know where in the registry this info is kept, as I could (possibly!) set the users up on one machine, export the registry keys and then merge them into the registries on the other machines.

Depending on which OS is used, the profile information is kept under HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles for NT and W2K.

Win9x it is kept under HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

Good luck.

What you will need to do is to search their hard drive for a .pst file. Copy the .pst file up to the network then export the .pst file on their new pc.
