Transferring numeric data from one field to another weekly

Is it possible to reference a weekday counter from a date field. I would like to create a counter that every friday the numeric data in one field moves to another field while clearing itself to 0. The exchange counter should start on Thurs of the following week to Friday of the next week.

Is this possible?

I've searched for VBE help at the Calyx Support website and the help menu in point. I did not find any references. Where should I be looking.

When in VBE (Alt+F11) open the debug window (Ctrl+G) type weekday and then press the F1 key.

from a different perspective, one wonders why there is a need for such? of course ratioanles abound, but in the end, I only see a very few even worth discussion, and these (at least in my head) all resolve to needing a better structure to the data, a better approach to gathering the incermental (or aggregate) data, or occassionally both.
