transferring data in fields

hi

I have created several different forms, some of which contain the same information. For example, the field Domain ID is in both the Customer Form and the Domain Form.

Is there any way of only entering the data in once under one table/form, and then linking/transferring it to another? Or would I simply have to enter the same data over and over again?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi

You could create subforms for those forms that have the same information. The data in one of the table, however, must be 'indexed (no duplicates)' like I assume the DomainID is.

Hope this helps

Fields should only be duplicated where necessary - for example as primary/foreign keys in the underlying tables.

I would check your database design out and see if data is unnecessarily duplicated.
