I am using sas from a server (as opposed to having it installed on my desktop). I clicked and dragged a sas dataset to a local drive. The objective is to copy those files onto a disk. I get a file extension of sas7bdat. It says the type is a LCK file. When I transfer this to a disk will the recipient of this file be able to load it into sas with no issue. I just ask because this is the first time I will use sas from a server as opposed to having it on my desktop.

A .sas7bdat should be a valid SAS dataset so it should be fine
