Transferred Calls—only—not going to voicemail on no-answer (TDA100 + TVA50)

Hello,
If the operator transfers a call to an extension, and the recipient doesn't answer, the caller doesn't go to the ext's voicemail, even though calls directly to extensions from the auto-attendant menu, or from extension to extension, do go to the extension's voicemail, if they don't answer.

This is on a KX-TDA100 phone system with a KX-TVA50 voicemail system. Please reply if you have any idea why that might be happening. If you need further info, please see the link/post referred to below, but I'm mainly looking for generally, why voicemails wouldn't pick up on no-answer, only when the calls are transferred, and how to fix that. Thanks a lot!

p.s. The original issue I started a thread about has been resolved, but this is one of a few remaining issues, which I'd like to post separately, to hopefully have them read by people who don't want to read the long original thread.

You probably have to put the Vmail DN in the Transfer Recall Destination for each extension.

Are all of your extensions set to forward to the VPS on busy/no answer? Dial *7105xxx (xxx is the ext number of the VPS - usually 500 or 165). May also need to adjust the forward timer (default is like 10+ rings). *713xx (xx is seconds, try 20). Also make sure transfer timer is not set longer than recall timer (see manuals).

Sorry for the delay, and thanks for your help. The extensions are already set to forward to 500 (VM) on no answer, and they do, for calls dialed from Auto Attendant menu, or from desk-to-desk.

The Transfer (Recall) timer is set to 60 seconds (in Maintenance Console > 2.3 Timers & Counters > Dial/IRNA/Recall/Tone > Recall, while the FWD-N/A timer is set to between 13 and 25 seconds, depending on the extension. Unless there is a 2nd place where the Recall timer is set, it doesn't appear that it is longer than the fwd-to-voicemail-on-no-answer timer.

Does anyone have any other ideas why calls transferred to extensions wouldn't go to voicemail on no-answer, when all other calls are doing so? Thanks again, Ralph.

Finally! I don't know why I didn't try to change it sooner, but setting the Transfer Recall timer from 60 to 15 seconds fixed the problem.

It's annoying that transferred calls don't go to the extension's FWD-N/A timer and destination without doing this, but at least its working now.
