Hi...

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction because i'm unsure...

I have a client who is asking that we have the facility to transfer a call to an external number without putting the caller on hold.

I've had a hunt on the net and through the manuals and either can't find it or it isn't there.

Does anyone know if this is possible becuase from my experience as soon as you start to transfer somone it automatically put them on hold.

Thanks for any help

The system has to place the caller on a soft hold to transfer a call. There is no way to do it otherwise as far as I know.

Try and create an abbreviated speed dial, (like #810 or something like that). Add it to a button, and then the user could press transfer-speed dial button-transfer. If it's routing out PRI, the calling party would hardly notice a hold... Remove MOH as well, so they won't hear that either.

Just a thought

Thanks,

richkid316,

the key is "no hold conference". on sys fe screen, set "no hold conference timeout" to something not too long, like 15 or 20 seconds, but definitely longer than answer supervision disconnect timeout; and add "no-hold-conf" button to users' phones. look up more info in feature description document.
