Transfer to mbox not working

I have a customer with a BCM400 that recently cannot use the FTR986 'transfer to mailbox' feature on the main phone x2221. I can do it from any other phone in the office except that 7316. There are enough intercom keys, I have moved the f986 key, I have re-prgmed the f986 key and still nothing. A call comes in, she answers, f986, call disconnects. I am going to swap the phone and then reboot the BCM, any other ideas?
 
bad phone?
i dont think setlock has anything to do with it - but is that active?
 
Make sure that auto hold is on in the capabilities programming.
 
Make sure autohold is enabled on that set (under Capabilities).
 
I'm having the same problem but it just started on my BCM400. Feature 986 used to work just fine and now none of the phones in this BCM can use the Transfer to VMX button. However, i am able to manually press transfer and send the call to the vmx DN.

Any other suggestions as to why this stopped working?
 
Just rebooting the BCM does not seem to help. Pull the power from the BCM and it should resolve the problem.
 
I did a backup, rebooted the BCM, and still not working. I ended up opening a ticket with Nortel. They had me swap the 7316 with a 7310 to rebuild the set profile. The feature still did not work. Re-installed the 7316, set auto-hold to yes and all works fine. I guess auto-hold is off by default. "How did it get turned off? Why did it stop functioning?, possible software corruption." Everything is cleared up now... Thanks for all the help.
